Lucille Rice Byars

Mrs. Lucille Rice Byars, age 91, of 1124 Meadow Woods Rd., Buffalo, widow of William “Bill” Byars, passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 at her home.

Mrs. Byars was born on January 11, 1926 in Cross Keys, SC a daughter of the late William Clough Rice and Lona Mae Humphries Rice.  She was a graduate of Cross Anchor High School and was retired from United Merchants—Buffalo Plant.  Mrs. Byars was a member of Buffalo United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Pat Flood Circle and the Seniors Group.

Surviving are a daughter, Amanda Byars Prince and husband Edmond W. of Buffalo; two sisters Louise R. Grady of Cross Keys and Connie R. Young of Clinton; one brother, Jim Rice of Cross Keys; two grandchildren, Brooke Prince Holloway and husband David of Greenwood and Sally Prince Woolsey and husband Steve of Payson, UT; two great-grandchildren, Dana Kate Woolsey and William Byars Holloway; and three generations of nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two sisters, Alice Benjamin and Helen Brown and two brothers, Bill Rice and Donald Rice.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, November 6, 2017 at Buffalo United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Ron Towery.  Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. 

Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM prior to the services at the Church.

The family request that in remembrance of Mrs. Byars’s generosity toward others that memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 408 N. Duncan Bypass, Suite C, Union, SC 29379.

Ruby Viola Bragg
Union, SC


Mrs. Ruby Viola Bragg, age 88, of 605 Toney Rd., Union, widow of Paul E. Bragg, passed away October 30, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Bragg was born August 1, 1929 in Rockyford, GA a daughter of the late Reginald Brunson and Viola Daughtry.  She was retired from Union County Schools having worked at Buffalo Elementary School.  Mrs. Bragg was a member of Glory Baptist Church. 

Surviving are two daughters, Linda Rumph of Union and Judy Wells of Jonesville; six grandchildren, Brandy Rochester, Richie Wade, Terry Trantham, Tommy O’Shields, Brian Wells, Jr., and Kimalee Wells; seven great-grandchildren, Davis Rochester, Kinsleigh Wade, Ricky Wade, Dustin Trantham, Kyle Trantham, Matthew O’Shields, and Casey Leith; and six great-great-granchildren.  She was predeceased by one daughter, Betty Howell; four sisters and one brother. 

Funeral services will be held, 4:00 PM Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Glory Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Lee Franklin.  Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Bragg’s grandsons will serve as the active pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM Wednesday prior to the services at the church.

Eugene Lawrence “Butterbean” Sprouse
Jonesville, SC


Mr. Eugene Lawrence “Butterbean” Sprouse, age 76, of 279 Sprouse Rd., Jonesville, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Sprouse was born November 10, 1940 in Jonesville, SC a son of the late Oatzel and Ethel Sprouse.  He was a graduate of Jonesville High School and attended USC-Union and Spartanburg Technical College.  Mr. Sprouse retired from Torrington & Co.—Tyger River Plant.  He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and the Union County Cattlemen’s Association. 

Surviving are one brother Henry Sprouse and wife Marlene; one niece, Angela Plemons and husband Harold; one nephew, Steve Sprouse and wife Jureda; one great-niece, Emily Jade Plemons; one great-nephew, Jacob Plemons all of Jonesville. He was predeceased by one brother Steve Sprouse.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 4, 2017 at New Hope United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Dr. Jim Ivey.

The Men’s Sunday School Class of New Hope United Methodist Church are asked to sit in a group.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday prior to the services at the church.

Marvin C. Babb
Union, S.C.


Mr. Marvin Carl Babb, age 59 of 401 Monarch Hwy., Union, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Union Medical Center.

Mr. Babb was born in Union, February 26, 1958, a son of Carolyn Vinson Austin and James Carl Babb both of Union.  He was retired from Cone Mill, Carlisle Finishing and was a member of Tanglewood Baptist Church.  Mr. Babb was also a member of the Buffalo Redmen Lodge, the Buffalo Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Union Co. Minutemen Rescue Team.

Surviving in addition to his mother and father are his step-mother, Lynn Babb; two sisters, Kelly Austin Shetley and husband Earl, and Angie Duncan and husband Robin all of Union; special friends, Bobby Gene Quinn, Harold Dean Quinn and Larry Vinson all of Union and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles including a special aunt, Kathy Babb Stokes of Union.  Mr. Babb was predeceased by a sister, Jackie Lynn Price, his maternal grandparents, Jim and Agatha Vinson and his paternal grandparents, Herbert and Lillie Mae Babb.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Tanglewood Baptist Church conducted by Brother Charles Hutcheson and Rev. Dr. Aulbrey Calvert.  Burial will be at Union Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Tuesday at the church prior to the services and also at the cemetery following the burial.

Jimmy L. Moss

Mr. Jimmy L. Moss, age 79, husband of Harriette Brandon Moss of 137 Fairbanks St., Jonesville, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Moss was born in Union Co., July 14, 1938, a son of the late Rufus and Lula Mae Reynolds Moss. He was retired from textiles and was a graduate of Jonesville High School. An active member of Jonesville Baptist Church, he was a member of the Men’s Ministry, a choir member, a former Deacon and a member of the Happy Hearts group.  Mr. Moss was retired from the S.C. National Guard, Jonesville Unit having served for 37 years.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Suzanne M. Rash and husband Mark of Jonesville, a son: Barry Moss and wife Cynthia of Sharon, a sister: Mary Feltwell and a brother: Harold Ray Moss both of Jonesville; three grandchildren: Jason Moss and wife Edie, Jenna Webb and husband Matt and Brandon Smith; and two great-grandchildren: Brian Maltez and Rachel Moss.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM Monday, October 30, 2017 at Jonesville Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Scott Cannon and Rev. Ralph Brown. Burial with Military Honors and Masonic Rites will be held at Jonesville Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Matt Webb, Dale Wynn, Dean Adams, Barry Tweed, Joel Stover and Steven Addis.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 until 3:30 Monday prior to the services at the church.

Ruby Heatherly Fowler

Mrs. Ruby Heatherly Fowler, age 81, wife of Clarence Odean Fowler of 118 East Forest Drive, Union, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Mrs. Fowler was born in West Springs, SC  August 14, 1936, a daughter of the late Harley D. Heatherly and Geneva Henson Heatherly. She retired from Milliken & Company – Monarch Plant and had previously worked at Ottaray Plant. Mrs. Fowler was a member of Philippi Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two granddaughters: Laura F. Watson and husband Trenton of St. Louis, MO and Elizabeth F. Thompson and husband Josh of Spartanburg; a daughter-in-law, Karen M. Fowler of Buffalo; sister, Mary Ellen Moore of Union; two brothers: Ed Heatherly and wife Carol and Martin Heatherly; a sister-in-law, Deanna Heatherly all of Buffalo; four great-grandchildren: Caleb F. Thompson, R. Tate Thompson, Simon D. Watson and Ruby B. Watson. Mrs. Fowler was predeceased by a son, Darrell D. Fowler.

The family has scheduled a private memorial service.

Sandra B. Palmer

Ms. Sandra Barnes Palmer, age 79 of 294 Robin Hood Circle, Union, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Center.

Ms. Palmer was born December 12, 1937, a daughter of the late William Robert Barnes and Nadine Moore Goings. She was a 1955 graduate of Union High School and retired from Milliken Cedar Hill Plant. Ms. Palmer was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church and also attended Unity United Methodist Church where she played the organ for a number of years.

Surviving are two sons: Barry Palmer of the home and Glenn Palmer and wife Pam of Pauline; a granddaughter, Blair Palmer and fiancé Justin Caddell of Roebuck and a brother, Gene Moore and wife Jo of Union.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Dr. Ronnie Moore.

Visitation will be held at the graveside immediately following the service.

Harley A. Lee, Sr.
Buffalo, S.C.


Mr. Harley Andrew Lee, Sr., age 72 of Buffalo, widower of Cindy Bolin Lee, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Union Medical Center.

Mr. Lee was born in Union, January 21, 1945, a son of the late Woodrow and Virginia Whitmire Lee. He was retired from Burnsed Monument Co. and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are a daughter, Holly Lee of Buffalo; four sons, David Lee and wife Melissa of Saluda, James Lee and wife Tamara of Joanna, Scotty Lee and wife Tammy of Clinton and Andrew Lee and wife Lauren Ouzts of Buffalo; two sisters, Susan Puckett of Chesnee and Mary Strong of Boiling Springs; two brothers, Johnny Lee of Laurens and Ray Lee of Buffalo; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  Mr. Lee was predeceased by a son, Lonnie Jay Lee, a grandson, Christopher Lee and a brother, Charles Lee.

A memorial service will be planned by the family for a later date.


Ruth Varner Lawson
Buffalo, SC


On October 19, 2017, Ruth Varner Lawson, 97, awoke in the arms of Jesus.  Mrs. Lawson, widow of H. Richard Lawson, was a lifelong resident of Buffalo, SC. Born May 3, 1920, to the late Franklin Tate and Elsie Robinson Varner, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

A lifelong member of Buffalo Baptist Church, Mrs. Lawson served the music ministry for 80 years as a pianist, organist, and director of the Youth Choir.  Her influence continues today as many church musicians in the upstate began their study of music with her.  She also taught Sunday School for about 50 years. 

In addition, Mrs. Lawson was a teacher in the Union County Schools for 39 years, most of those at Buffalo Elementary.  She also taught at Kelly-Kelton, West End, and Monarch.

Survivors include daughter Rebecca of Rock Hill and son Rick (Marla) of Beaufort.  Three grandchildren:  Tommy Lawson (Caroline) of Buffalo, Rick of Fayetteville, NC and Shannon Yaekle (Mark) of Hamilton, OH. Five great-grandchildren: Hazel and Tommy Lawson of Buffalo, Cameron Lawson of NC, and Maranda and Matthew Yaekle of OH.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 21, 6 – 8 PM.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 22, at 3 PM with visitation beginning at 1:30 PM.  

Mrs. Lawson’s piano students are invited to play a selection during the visitation on Sunday.  Those who wish to honor her by playing should call Barbara Varner Ramsey.

Mrs. Lawson’s family would like to thank Dr. David Keith and his staff for many years of care and Hospice and Community Care of Rock Hill.  We would also like to give special thanks to Miriam Cook, who has loved Mama and us as her own.

Mrs. Mary Mowdy Walker, age 82 of 1114 W. Main St., Union, widow of Weldon Acy Walker, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Mrs. Walker was born July 24, 1935 in Kingsport, TN a daughter of the late William Isaac Mowdy and Ethel Mowdy.  She was retired from Conso and had previously worked with Milliken & Co—Monarch Mill.  Mrs. Walker was a member of New Life Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Allen Walker and wife Sharon of Townville and Mark Walker and wife Sandy of Buffalo; three grandchildren that were reared in the home, Kerry Walker and wife Melanie of Spartanburg, Brad Walker of Union, and Gina Powers and husband Kevin of Pacolet; two grandchildren, Roman Walker and wife Emily of Newnan, GA and Brenda Sinclair and husband Junior of Union; numerous great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Gertrude Harris and husband Stanley; and one brother, William Thomas Mowdy and wife Brenda.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, October 20, 2017 at New Life Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Shannon Faulkner and Rev. Todd Davis.  Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Kristopher Jermaine “K.J.” Hall infant son of Nichole Guyton of Pacolet and Wesley Germaine Hall of Spartanburg went home to be in the arms of the Lord, Sunday, October 15, 2017.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his maternal grandparents, Barbara and William Guyton of Pacolet; paternal grandmother, Martina Hall of Spartanburg; maternal grandfather, Jimmy Hall of Boston, MA; great-grandmother, Joanne Gilliland of Pacolet.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 4:00 PM at Brown’s Chapel Baptist conducted by the Rev. Ralph Jett and Mr. Wayne Fulgham.  Burial will be at White Rose Cemetery in Pacolet.  Visitation will be held after the services in the church.

Mrs. Bessie Bevis Brown, age 64 wife of Fred T. “Tommy” Brown of 171 Pasture Dr., Union, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at her home. 

Mrs. Brown was born March 21, 1953 in Union, SC a daughter of the late Johnny Carl Bevis and Annie Jennings Bevis Wages.  She was retired from United Merchants—Buffalo Plant.  Mrs. Brown was of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Lisa Harris and husband Trey of Roebuck and Rhonda Petty of Jonesville; one son, Dennis Malpass and wife Stacy of Union; one step-son, Kevin Brown and wife Tonya of Jonesville; six grandchildren, Brooke McDowell, Jesse Harris, Megan Petty, Dillon West, Collin Malpass, and Breann Malpass; seven great-grandchildren, Jayleigh, Teagan, Jayden, Zaylyn, Jersey, Easton, and Karley; and three brothers, Dennis Bevis and wife Mary of Inman, Dean Bevis and wife Beth of Lockhart, and Bruce Bevis of Inman. 

Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Friday, October 20, 2017 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Brad Goodale. Burial will follow at Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM Friday prior to the services at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

William David Porter
Beaufort, SC


Mr. William David Porter, 59, passed away at Beaufort Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. 

Mr. Porter was born June 7, 1959 in Union County a son of the late Joe D. “Bud” Porter and Evelyn Campbell Porter. He was co-owner and operator of Porter’s Paint Company until his retirement at which time he moved to Beaufort to enjoy fishing, shrimping and his friends of the Lands Ends Community. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and was a TRUE Clemson Tiger Fan.

Mr. Porter is survived by his wife Tammy Griffin Porter of the home in Beaufort; two sons, Stephen D. Porter and wife Raven of Blackstock and Jeremy D. McDaniel and wife Danielle of Sharon; a daughter Brandy M. Faile and Husband Jake of Van Wyck; a sister Donna Porter of Sharon. Mr. Porter also had four wonderful grandchildren Dustyn, Kane, Kaylan, and Caleb. 

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church, 126 Askew Cr. Union, SC 29739 with Pastor Sam Baine officiating. Burial will follow at Porter Gallman Cemetery.

Katie Jane Morris

Katie Jane Morris, passed away after sustaining serious injurious in an automobile accident on October 5, 2017. Katie celebrated her 33rd birthday on October 2, 2017. We ask you not to mourn, but to help us celebrate her life.

Katie Jane was a free spirit with a huge smile; qualities sure to be carried on by her son, Gavin and daughter, Asher. These qualities will be cherished and celebrated by her mother, Ellen Vehorn Morris of the home; her father and step-mother, Ricky and Kathy Morris of Charlotte, NC.; her sisters, Molly Morris of Cornelius, NC and Tiffany Morris Hampton of Spartanburg, SC.

A memorial service will be held on a later date.

Mrs. Patricia Ann Kerr, age 83, wife of John S. Kerr of 5390 S. Pine St., Spartanburg, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Heartland of Union.

Mrs. Kerr was born in Union, July 26, 1934, a daughter of the late John and Sibbie Eaves Knox. She was a  retired CNA from Spartanburg Regional Hospice and had done private duty nursing. Mrs. Kerr was a member of Hayne Baptist Church of Spartanburg and had volunteered with the American Red Cross and Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.  She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Donnie Kerr and wife Nancy of Columbia and Larry Kerr and wife Norma of Spartanburg; two sisters, Linda Holland of Union and Mary Jo Baldwin of Columbia; three granddaughters, Nicole Tesner and husband Jimmy and Anne Marie Holder and husband Joey, Stephanie Parrish and husband Adam; and eight great-grandchildren, Hayden Tesner, Ryley Tesner, Ricky Tesner, Bo Tesner, Samantha Holder, Donovan Holder, Raleigh Parrish, and Madelyn Parrish.  Mrs. Kerr was predeceased by three sisters, Lona Davis, Rachel Lawson, and Thelma Camby and by four brothers, Jack Knox, Weldon Knox, William Knox and Ronnie Knox.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the Holcombe’s Jonesville Chapel conducted by Rev. Terry Howell and Rev. Scott Cannon.  Burial will be at Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Tesner, Joey Holder, Adam Parrish, Tim Baldwin, Lonnie Gist and Henry Evans.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday evening also at the Holcombe Jonesville Chapel.

Horace Glenn Corbett

Mr. Horace Glenn Corbett, age 78, husband of Kaye Garner Corbett of 113 Crestview Drive, Union, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home.

Mr. Corbett was born in Fountain, NC October 3, 1939, a son of the late Horace G. Corbett and Susie Mae Harris Corbett Joyner and step-father Dick Joyner. He was a graduate of Farmville High School in Farmville, NC and NC State University with a Degree in Chemistry.

Horace began his textile career with Milliken in Union, SC and Lowenstein in Lyman, SC. He retired from Carlisle Finishing as a textile colorist following thirty-two years of service. Mr. Corbett was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and was active with the Yellow Jacket Booster Club where he was a Golden Member. He was also a member of the Clemson Club.

In addition to his wife of fifty-one years are a son, Garner Glenn Corbett and fiancée Monica Mikan of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Phyllis Stainback of Henderson, NC and a brother, Alex Corbett of Farmville, NC.

Memorial services will be held 2:30 PM Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Tabernacle Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tommy Vaughn.

Members of Bantam Chief Table of Wisdom, his McDonald’s friends, his Supper Club Friends and Julia Adams and Stefanie Blanton of Medi Home Hospice Care of Union,  are asked to sit in a group.

Mrs. Sherry Jo Lipsey Gregory, age 72, wife of Danny Ray Gregory of 301 Forest Street, Jonesville, surrounded by her family, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, October 5, 2017.

Mrs. Gregory was born in Union County, SC June 25, 1945, a daughter of the Late Frank Lipsey and Bernice Petty Lipsey. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and retired as a teachers’ aid at Jonesville Elementary-Middle School following thirty plus years. Upon retirement, Mrs. Gregory continued as a volunteer. She was a member of Jonesville Baptist Church where she was a member of Claudia Coleman Sunday School Class, the Miriam Soto Circle, Happy Hearts and a member of the choir. Around the Jonesville area and the schools, she was known as “Miss Sherry”, one of the Wildcats #1 Fans.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters: Tara G. Bright and husband Jeffrey of Union and Nicki G. Ivey and husband Jim of Jonesville; a sister, Jane L. Addis of Jonesville; five grandchildren: Jacey, Jenna and Caleb Bright, Tyler Rector and Nickolas Ivey and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gregory was predeceased by a daughter, Jennifer Carol Gregory; two sisters: Dot Moss, Frances Holt and a brother, Bud Lipsey.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Saturday,  October 7, 2017 at Jonesville Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Scott Cannon, Rev. Dr. Jim Spencer and Rev. Ralph Brown. Burial will be in Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be: Jeff Addis, Donald Addis, Steven Addis, Jared Addis, Gene Lipsey, David Lipsey, Steve Beheler and Tyler Rector. The past and present faculty and staff of Jonesville Elementary- Middle School are asked to sit in a group.

Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 PM Saturday in the church prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jonesville Baptist Church Happy Hearts or the Mission Team, P.O. Box 279, Jonesville, SC 29353.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Tara and Jeffrey Bright, 115 Haney Cemetery Rd., Union, SC 29379.

Mona Cranford Elrod
Lexington, SC


Mrs. Mona Cranford Elrod, age 71, wife of Charles Elrod of 502 E. Butler St., Lexington, SC came to the end of her earthly journey and on to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, October 2, 2017.

Mrs. Elrod was born in Union, SC on August 7, 1946 a daughter of the late Dallas L. Cranford and Elvie Treadway Cranford.  She was a graduate of Union High School and Cecil’s Business College.  Mrs. Elrod had retired from Milliken & Co.—Cedar Hill Plant and later worked for the Union County Disability and Special Needs Board.  She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and attended Lexington Baptist Church in Lexington.

Surviving in addition to her husband of twelve years are a step-daughter, DeAnne Elrod Corley; one brother, Micky Cranford; one nephew, Tony Cranford and wife Rhonda; one niece, Susan Grady and husband Scott; three great-nieces, Erin Grady, Sarah Catherine Cranford, and Hannah Elizabeth Cranford; one great-nephew, Benjamin Grady and wife Kaylee; and one great-great-niece, Harper Mae Grady.  She was predeceased by one sister-in-law, Alice Cranford.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Jim Palmer.  Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be, Scott Grady, Benjamin Grady, Tony Cranford, and Paul Greer, II.   The staff of the Union County Disability and Special Needs Board is asked to sit in a group.

Visitation will be held from 2:30 PM until 4:00 PM prior to the services at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

The family wishes to extend much appreciation and gratitude to the Amedisys Hospice of Lexington, SC for their love, care, and support of Mrs. Elrod.

John Mark Sherbert
Union, S.C.


John Mark Sherbert went home to be with Our Lord and Saviour on Thursday September 21, 2017. Mark was born in Union, S.C. on July 14, 1959, but was raised most of his life in Raleigh, N.C. He was last residing at Magnolia Manor of Inman, S.C. after complications from diabetes. Both parents, John Carlisle Sherbert and Margaret Wilburn Sherbert preceded him in death. He was survived by his only brother Scot Eric "Tommy " Sherbert of Raleigh, N.C. 

A private service will be held at a later date.  May he rest in peace.
